Arrived on the chance of getting a table at 8pm Saturday and was surprised it was quiet. Shown a table by the window. Good service throughout and lovely well priced food. £80 for 2 of us including wine. Well worth a visit. Think people miss it as it's upstairs.

First time visiting since Oct ‘23, what was China Hong back then is now Royal China. After a change of ownership, the restaurant has gone through a bit of a makeover, new decor, new lighting, the old heated tables have been replaced and new staff. They have also opened up an all you can eat Japanese Sushi restaurant next door. It’s certainly a lot brighter than it was before and that’s no bad thing.
With all the recent changes, we was a bit apprehensive about how good the food was going to be, as we loved it previously. Thankfully the food was still as delicious and the service was still top notch. I don’t like Sushi, but my other half does, and even though we were in the Chinese side, they let her order some Sushi too, so win win all round for us.
As to be expected, the prices are more than you would get from a takeaway, but still very reasonable, as the portion sizes are generous. The good thing is, what you can’t eat, you can take home in a few takeaway tubs, so you can still enjoy it at home the next day if you so wish.
Highly recommend a visit here if you like a Chinese or even Sushi in a nice chilled out environment.- Service

- Although both the Chinese and Japanese restaurants are on the first floor, there is a lift for those in a wheelchair/mobility scooter or have walking difficulties and there are no steps when you get up there, it’s a level floor.

The place is good, have ate from here numerous times but recently I do think the food quality has gotten worse especially the set menu. The normal Chinese dishes are good.

We visited the new incarnation of this restaurant Royal China. I’m particularly fond of barbecue/ roast meats. The crispy belly pork and roast duck are very good here. Everything we ordered was well cooked and tasty. The staff were really attentive and the prices fair. Slightly higher than the local Chinese takeaway shops in Lincoln but the offerings closer to Hong Kong style dishes.
Brilliant meal-5 adults 3 kids. Extensive menu & delicious Bubble tea! Lady owner was very friendly and gave kids helium balloons after our meal.
Ok so there wasn’t much atmosphere coz it was quiet but also exactly what we needed. There was some dramatic music playing as stickers was trying to choose her set menu but the service was excellent and we were more than happy with both the food and the price

Best Chinese food I’ve had! Wanted to try Chinese food but knew I wasn’t the fan of Brit Chinese ones.. this place is an amazing mix of authentic and Brit Chinese specials. I tried the water boiled fish and it was divine! Recommend the pork and custard buns! Absolutely love this place hah

Amazing, been here twice now and you get a lot for what you pay for, and the quality is great as well. Edit: tried some new stuff this time around, the salt and pepper squid is the best I've ever tasted.
I used this place for take out and it was the best. Dishes tasted authentic and very fragrant, unlike normal English Chinese takeaway thats available. I love the variety of dishes available that you cannot usually find in England. A little more expensive but worth it in my opinion.
